Plenty of Incomings lately

Seems like there's been an uptick in incomings lately. My ad called me to pick up a SS Sky that I've been waiting on for some time. I think it has a lot to do with Basel coming up. They want to quench some of the thirst right before some new releases that will cause a frenzy again. In any event they'll prob pull back after Basel and tighten up again. Just my 2 cents

Restrict supply.
Create wait list.
Release a load of stock.
All stock sold @ retail

Fine for marketing but most styles are priced above retail because of their perceived exclusivity. I’d be upset if I paid 20k for a blue faced sky dweller and then Rolex dumps 10,000 of them into stores. A mass exodus of flippers and grey market would drive the price down to 17-18k. Part of the reason I’ll never pay more than retail

you could also disconnect the supply as a Rolex issue and attribute it to buyer behavior. Buyers might be waiting until Basel since its so close, hence demand has ticked down slightly making it easier to get a watch.

In any case congrats

Well you should feel sorry for the guys that paid $20k+ for a SS BLRO.

You cant even sell them quickly at $15.5k now.

dealers in the UK are still offering $16500 to buy... thats before their margin and their list price... which is at least 30% higher than that.

I’m not disagreeing with you, but in my opinion the people that paid that much can afford it and they wanted it and they could care less if the value drops. Some people can afford to have more money than sense.
