14060M V serial check
Long time lurker and first time poster. I'm fairly well versed in vintage Omegas, but have recently caught the Submariner bug. I am considering purchasing the following. To my novice eye it looks legit, but I would greatly appreciate a more educated opinion regarding its authenticity. Thanks in advance for your collective wisdom.

welcome JP!
with all the clones going around, i think we're at a point where pix of the guts are required. based on the pics, it looks like a rolex 14060M... but that's it. they're pics. buy the seller first and don't wire funds if they don't have a reputation to protect. its worth paying a bit more for insurance and peace of mind if this is your first foray. good luck. |

Gentlemen,
Thank you for the quick response to my inquiry. I concur with the opinion to "buy" the seller first. I've had DavidSW birddogging a V serial for the last month to no avail. The seller in this case has provided a number of references regarding past sales, and appears to have a positive reputation on several other sites, e.g., Panerisiti.com (network54.com) and watchnet.com. I've attached a few more pics for your review. Again, I greatly appreciate the sage wisdom of this forum. |
