A friend has lost over 20 kilos over the last 12 months by religiously following the "Weight Watchers" system (essentially just calorie counting) and says all it takes is the motivation to keep track of what goes in the mouth.
Doesn't really miss all the stuff he used to eat and drink as he feels so much better.

Good to see you reaching your goal Mr G.

Keep it up.

Can't believe you once weighed 80lbs?

I am the same age as Grady - well I might be a few months older.

It is difficult to keep weight down as you get older.

I have my wine, chocolates etc. on Fridays and Saturdays.
The rest of the week its mineral water and an apple in the evening after dinner.

With ths plan I manage to stay around 160lbs.

But this regime does start to slip around Xmas.

I agree with both statements.

Thanks, E. I did once weigh 80lbs, but I think I was about ten years old.

What has losing that much weight done to your wrist size? Have you removed a link or tightened up the leather strap by a notch?
Actually, I was wrong in my previous response.

I finally put on a watch with a strap that was worn enough to show.

I've moved two wholes now, including one since I last posted.

New jeans!

A 36" waist may not be much to brag about, but these pants will accommodate my IWB, so that's not too bad.

I bought these at Walmart, while I was picking up some electrical supplies. Out of a huge section of Wranglers, this was the only pair in my size.

I figured I should latch on to them.

Simply fantastic. You should do something to celebrate this achievement! Doesn't have to be anything big. Maybe a nice expensive steak for dinner on one of your two days where you don't cut back on calories. Congratulations!!

I don't eat a lot of red meat.

It's not that I have anything against it. It's just that when I have a choice of meats, I generally go with chicken or fish.

However, I do like like steak a lot and it used to be in my hungrier days, I'd eat a rib-eye every payday.

I don't anticipate getting back into that habit, but I do think I'm going to take your advice and go to one of the nicer steakhouses in town.

There's a place called the Cooperage that is known for their "USDA Certified Angus Beef that is aged and cut in-house."

It catty-cornered from my favorite bowling alley, too.

Congratulations Grady. I admire your self discipline and commitment. Your accomplishment is inspiring.
Your new jeans used to be my waist size, but I strayed to a 44 waist. Back in a 40 now working toward a 38.
Since you don't do red meat often, pass on the USDA Choice and head straight to Prime. You definitely deserve it.

Thank you, beer!

Actually, on November 8, I got a nice deal from my AD on the new BB36. That's my reward.
