New to me Speedmaster Moon watch very soon

I should be getting a near mint Speedmaster 3570.50 next week. I'm excited. I have always like this watch, but never got around to getting one. I guess with the Apollo XI anniversary last month and I'm reading a great book right now, "Moon Shot", it put me over the edge.

Pics to follow when it arrives.

Congrats on a classic! Bet you're really excited for it to be delivered.

Got it

As promised...The serial # dates it 2005. Looks like it has never been worn (or at least not much).

OK...I just noticed something on my bracelet. There are no numbers stamped on the end links. The underside of the clasp has 1998/849 stamped on it.

I see other pictures that have a three number stamp on the end links. Is this something I should start to be concerned about?

Great looking watch! It's certainly in excellent condition. I wouldn't be too worried about the end links to be honest. I dont know a whole lot about why some are numbered in that spot while others aren't (or had it removed). If this is a keeper and that really bothers you ultimately you could source some numbered ones, remove the top pin and spring bar and install the replacement parts. In yours shoes though I would enjoy the watch as it is now.

Or put it on a strap. I'm going to own a speedy one day, and the first thing I'll do is put it on a strap. I don't fancy the factory bracelets much, but TEHO.

Thanks for replying. I just had a fleeting thought that it might be an aftermarket bracelet when I saw no numbers. But after more research, I guess some were made like this from Omega.

Old thread, but thanks.

I have since added another one. Going to give the older one to my son.
