My conversation with a Swatch parts persn

So while removing a link from the bracelet of my moonphase I had the misfortune of dropping one of those tiny screws which are about the size of a gnats azz once they hit the floor your never finding them so I call swatch parts to order a few new screws the person I spoke to was probably one of the worst customer service people I have ever had to deal with here is just part of a conversation that went on for over 20 minutes

Hi I need to order some screws for bracelet #STZ 005669

I'm sorry there is no such part no

But I'm looking right at the bracelet that's the no

Sir we do not have a part 5998

I said 5669

Oh yes we have that

I need the screws that go on each side of the bracelet and hold the pins in

You need a link

No just the screws

Hang on..... how many pins do you need

No just the screws no pins

You don't want the pins?

No just the screws

And this went on and on it took almost 10 minutes for her just get my mailing address right

That's funny Ed. Had a similar experience with a phone issue, but I chalked that one up to a language barrier. No fault of the customer service person but we were having a heck of a time speaking the same language

It's a shame you can't just order these kind of things off their website. Quicker and easier.

I recently ordered an adjustable clasp and end links to put on my Speedmaster. Since I had the part #s, it was kind of easy. But, it definitely took much longer than just clicking a few buttons and avoiding any miscommunications.

Plus, you're right. I dropped one of those tiny little screws. Thankfully, I had extras.

LOL I'm so sorry you had to go through that. Sad to say but par for the course in regards to Swatch Group service from my personal experience. Hope you can continue to enjoy the watch though!!

I was talking about the official Omega watch website. But they don't sell anything directly (except the upcoming Speedy Tuesday).

Frustrating. I must say I have no such problem with swatch in Australia. Although I just email them. What was the price per screw? I just asked about the titanium ones and they are $AU16.63 each. Holy cow! I get that it's titanium though but jeez! I had to clarify that wasn't for a pack of ten. Haha.

Oh yea that would be so easy. Whats the Swatch website you are referring to? I'm only aware of Cousins and Ofrei for parts.

Those little suckers are $5 each plus $11 "shipping & handling" they must cost Omega all of 3 cents to produce
