repair facility in Canada

I have an old Rolex (about 60 years old) that needs cleaning. The last time I sent in to Rolex, they said that it was now too old for them to work on and that I would have to send it to someone who specializes in antique watches.

Does anyone know of someone in Canada who does this? I'm in Nova Scotia but will ship.

Thanks

Steve

I'd suggest you give me a ring. I work in Moncton at La Mine d'Or Jewellers (Rolex AD). I can give you some options and ideas on who to talk to.

PM sent for the number.

Steve:

The Watch Repair Centre in Halifax has worked on my 6150 Explorer from some time after 1977. They just recently put a new crystal on it. Their number is 902 423-5998. They have a Rolex parts account and give pretty quick service.

They also serviced my Oyster Perpetual Date a few months ago and it is accurate to about a second a day.

Jason:

My 6150 has a watchmaker initials "NWD" in it from the 1970's. We lived in Moncton at that time. Are these the initials of a local watch maker or service centre? It could also have been a Halifax service centre, as we were not in Moncton in 1961. At that point I think my Dad was working in Sydney.

Here is the caseback photo. The RC is repair centre.

Wow somone from my area. I am in Halifax. Not sure if you heard of these guys. I have never taken anything to them as my watches are still in Rolex service years.

Why don't we just post the repair contacts here rather than Privately messaging them. That way they will be here as a reference.

Dc & wrc

Doctor Clock & WRC are the same people. I don't have any experience with service there but I have purchased a couple of Breitlings from them over the years. Good people to deal with.

Cheers,

That is what I had heard too. The original Watchmaker at the Watch Repair Centre, Mr Clarke, was getting pretty old and he retired/sold his business some time around 2000.
