Replica ref 16263?
Gentlemen of the forum;
I’m under the impression that the Turn-O-Graph isn’t as frequently faked as, say, the Explorer II or the Submariner. I own a 1967 (1,6xx,xxx) ref 1625, and have recently been offered a “low mileage” 1997 ref 16263. I’ve done my best to determine/gauge authenticity of the 16263 by way of provided photos and many questions, but I’m neither an expert nor a “factory trained” Rolex watchmaker. I’m merely an enthusiast with more money than brains, at this stage, with an eye for older Rolexes. Admittedly, I’ve read that the Turn-O-Graph isn’t generally of the more sought after (thus more expensive) Rolexes - and therefore isn’t as frequently faked. Has anyone ever seen or heard of replica Turn-O-Graphs? Is it advisable that I should have them each assessed by a watchmaker or Rolex dealer? Best regards to the group. By the way, my name’s Joe and I’m new in town. -Joe |

Fellas, good morning. I fear these might be a bit grainy, but I'll give them a shot. These are images of my 1967 ref 1625, s/n 1611722.

...and here are a few images of my 1997 ref 16263. I'm very interested in your concerns/observations, as I'm hoping I wasn't swindled.
