Got A haircut in just under the wire ... I don’t cut it that frequently, should be good for another couple of weeks.

My beautiful wife, has cut my hair for years.
She tells me; "It's not a bald patch, it's a solar panel for a sex machine".

Decided on the other option. Going for the Willie Nelson look.

Stay safe.

Joey, its not a new product. I have used one for 30+ years. I started on my boys when they were young. I then transitioned to myself because I hated going to barbers and all the waiting and BS. I wear my hair short so it was a natural. I used to put a check mark down for every hair cut. After 20 years and figuring $10 a cut I was over 10K saving at that point. My first Flowbee cost $200 and lasted 5 years. Next time I bought a case (5 of them) for $200, $40 each. Still working with the last one. Now that I think of it its like a free Rolex.

Got my clippers, mailed to me from a (currently closed) small salon. Amazon is getting enough business.

And some courage,

For the first time cutting my own hair, I think it turned out pretty good. Total of 7 different lengths. Looking forward to the next attempt.

Looking good Still waiting on our clippers to arrive in a box at the doorstep. My sons have complete mop-heads, and I'm starting to get overhang on the ears. I've never cut my hair or the kids', and the one time my wife cut my first son's hair would have made Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber jealous, so that's not gonna happen again. Wish us luck!

Has anyone cut their own hair yet?

Not yet but we finally found the model we were intending to buy but sold out everywhere. Target ended up having a single. Multigroom 7000 coming my way!

Yep gave myself a trim with scissors the other day after a few beers. Turned out pretty good but didn't try anything too sophisticated!

I've just gone over to wearing baseball caps every day until I get to see my favorite barber. Until I go back to work wearing hats is just fine.

Yep, that’s what I’m doing. I don’t wear hats often though.

Good for you! My wife has been cutting my hair since we met nearly 40 years ago. She's about to retire from her very successful career in a few months. Her many loyal clients will be disappointed but it's time to put the scissors & curling iron down and enjoy her well earned retirement.

You never know, you might make your own career out of it too.

Am I the only one sketched out by links posted by new members immediately after their tenth post (10 of which were in the last 35 mins) especially when they are bumping old threads?

I bought some Wahl clippers, they weren't cheap but they have saved me hundreds of pounds. My haircut from a professional cost 50 quid, I haven't been there for nearly two and a half years. My wife first attempt was a disaster and my young Brad Pitt looks were ruined for a couple of months until the mistakes grew out but now, after many haircuts, I'm really happy with the way things turn out.

I've been cutting my own hair for years now too. I used to use the Wahl clippers and just cut everything off. Now I use the Andis foil shaver since it gets a closer shave. I usually just shave my head every night before I shower and sleep. Takes less than 5 minutes if I shave it every night. When I miss a day it'll take maybe 10 minutes since the hair is longer and the foil shaver isn't really designed to shave anything more than a stubble.

Thank you, my jaw dropping good looks have now returned.

Or should that be "Jaw drooping?"

Robert, yes, I agree. I find that the Wahl doesn't cut my beard (stubble) as close as I like. I still have a fair amount of hair left on my head so a foil shave wouldn't work there.
