Thanks for the kind words. Glad you are enjoying my posts. There are so many great wines that are reasonably priced to enjoy. Finding them can be challenging sometimes. Cheers!

Meh, Napa cabs can't be killed "too early" would it be nice to drink them with 10+ years on them all the time? sure but they drink so well young there is no harm no foul IMHO. scarecroe jr. drinks really well young, no worries.

Some 'Asian-style' for Saturday night.
Tatachilla McLaren Vale Shiraz 2014 to quaff while I cooked.
This is a very well-made red that needs about 5 years but doesn't benefit markedly from much longer. I always breathe this for 3 hours and it softens very noticeably and throws off all the volatiles. Almost changes character in that time.

Everyone has different taste, so hard to make good recommendations without knowing what you enjoy.

However, my personal opinion is that bubbles level the playing field. There are many $20-30 bottles I like more than the $100-200 bottles. I also normally drink Rose sparkling.

Some of my Napa/Sonoma favorites:

Conundrum Sparkling Rose

Most of the offerings from Schramsberg

Iron Horse makes some of my favorite in the area, but I have never seen them in a store. I believe they are vineyard bottle store or online only.

Thank you, Nick. I'll send your list to my wife so she can have them ready when I come back.
