A Grand Seiko can set you back $1500~3000 depending on which Grand Seiko we're talking about. Their GMT is another amazingly well made and accurate watch. Hand made in small batches and totally in house. Puts COSC standards to shame.

I love the blue hands on the white dial. Very pretty.

Not the watch above, but some close ups of a GS dial and movement:

Hi, Seikos have a reputation of "cheap watch", but very few know some of the best movts. came from this Co. Gives you a run for your money & puts COSC to test. Grand & King Seikos demonstrate their capabilities.

if money was not such an issue- i would make sure one was in my collection- but if i had $3000 i'd get a panerai 114 of BruceS

Great looking watch.

Many of the GS seem too simple, or perhaps too understated, and do not have the visual impact that other watches have, but the white dial with gold arabic numerals and the blue hands make that watch a stunner without going "over the top".

Too bad the GS is not sold in the USA.

I'd likely buy one if they were.

Yes been after a vintage Seiko for quite some time now but now are well over $2000.Now look at the regulator adjuster on this one! and even the shock protection on the non-balance jewels. Now thats real quality!and there own movement test, to a far higher standard than the Swiss COSC.Plus customer service second to none when you own a Seiko Grand
