FS: Rolex Explorer I 114270 D serial

Hello all,

I am selling my much-loved Explorer I. Hasn’t seen must wrist time for a while so time to give it a new home.

Serial: D XXXXXX (matches case, paperwork, and hang tags)
Near Mint Condition
Comes with:

Inner/outer boxes
Hangtags (both)
Complete manuals
Warranty certificate (with owner name, date (July 15, 2006), and authorized Rolex Dealer name)

I bought this watch from Mr. DavidSW back in 2011 (listing here), and I’m selling this watch with everything I received, plus recent receipts.

Watch was serviced last week by Rolliworks here in California where the watch was timed, pressure tested, and lightly polished. If you don’t know their work, prepare to be amazed here: "Adventures in Band Repair". I wouldn’t take my watches anywhere else, and I paid $200 last week to ensure that the new owner gets one of most pristine, tested Explorers around.

Case: Stainless steel 36mm case is in mint condition. After buying in 2011 watch was gently worn in rotation for a few years and then seldom worn at all. To prepare for sale, I had it lightly polished on 3/27/19 by Rolliworks. Case was pressure tested and it failed, so it received all new OEM Rolex gaskets. Passing pressure test results pictured.

Bracelet: Solid end link 78690 bracelet is tight and includes all links. It had the standard desk diving swirls, but after polishing it’s in near mint condition. Minimal stretch as shown in picture.

Movement: Rolex 3130 automatic movement winds and sets as it should with no issues. It was tested on 3/27/19 which confirmed that it’s keeping excellent time so no service was necessary. Test results pictured.

Dial/Hands/Crystal: Dial and hands are in perfect original condition. I did notice a tiny crystal chip around 10 o’clock and I’ve included a picture where I try to point it out. Otherwise unnoticeable.

Price: $5,250 net to me. PayPal is preferred, so please add 3% to price. Overnight insured shipping via FedEx included in price. U.S. sales only please.

Local Pickup: Watch is located in Northern California near San Jose, CA, and face to face sales are welcome.
