Bertram or Hatterras. Sick indeed. I do business with a guy that has a 65 foot Bertram docked in his back yard. That is a beautiful yacht. He runs it to St. Thomas in the summer.

Don't think it's a Bertram, (Transom looks too low).

Could it be a Post or an Ocean?

Katrina

Here are a few I am glad I don't own, or didn't own behind me.

Snapped these a few days after Katrina Made landfall at the marina.

Of course these weren't yachts, but you can see my house in the photo.

Those are some amazing pictures. Must suck for those boat owners. Were these boats on the water or on land?

You look like an action movie actor in that picture.

Oh yea, the last photo looking down the bridge in Lakeview, here is looking the other way toward City Park. Thats my LT in the boat.

Anyone from NOLA will recognize the intersection.

I'm leaning towards an Ocean.

Oh yes it did, my LT got mad more than a few times for having it up on plane in the city. I don't have a picture, but I am pretty sure am the only person who can say they got a 190 Montauk on plane down Tulane Avenue. In hind sight, not so smart considering the flooded cars and down power lines.

It looked like a little marina in Pompano Beach, that's why I asked.

You took great photos. The magnitude of this natural disaster is still unreal to me. I grew up in Alabama and went to NOLA all the time with my family..It's such a special place and I'm happy that things are improving.

I hope those boat owners had good insurance.

Showed some friends that are in the know (I sure as hell am not), they said it is definitely not an Ocean or Bertram.
They guessed it is a 1986-1988 Egg Harbor.

Maybe Bruno can give us some insight?

Back then the biggest Egg Harbor made was a 50' and Brunos boat is a lot larger.

Here, I've inserted 2 50' Egg Harbors in the picture.

Then I guess the guys at the marina don't know , They wanted a better picture. I told the mechanic to guess.

What do you think about this guy:

http://www.reefyachtsales.com/WWW/li..._OwlsNest.html

It is called Owl's Nest. I know a mate through a friend. This thing is sick!!!! The boat competes heavily in the Sailfish Circuit down here in South Florida.

Only $3.8 mil. But I think the guy will take $2 mil. The boat has been for sale for quite some time now. The owner, I understand, live in NY. Big money never the less.
