Well . . . not my team but I would say the Canucks have to be the favorite for the Cup.

Plus Montreal and Calgary both won Cups the year after hosting the Olympics (1977 and 1989, respectively) so by that measure the Canucks are due. Didn't work for the Kings in 1985 though so maybe this "rule" only works in Canada . . .

The Canucks - Blackhawks series, to me, shows how hard it is to maintain a strong hockey club in the hard salary cap era . . . the Blackhawks are going from the Stanley Cup one year to possibly getting swept in the first round the next.
