Trade RO 15450 for Rolex Skydweller
I thinking of trading a 2017 white dial RO ref 15450st for a 2020 Rolex Skydweller. What sort of trade in value is my RO worth.

Many gray dealers now are extremely wary of taking in new stock since they’re trying to reduce exposure. Even if you get an offer, it won’t be close to asking prices – maybe about 30% below. A friend recently received an offer of $60k for his 26320st in blue and $85k for his 26320or in white. Hope this helps.

Haha. I literally was thinking the same thing. Opposite end of the spectrum in regards to size. To answer the question, I would personally keep the 15450.

Funny how another thread is asking if he should sell his two hulks for a RO. Don't you know a dealer is going to buy your AP at wholesale and sell you the skydweller at market? If you can't afford the Rolex then pass till you have saved up |

I wouldn't do that trade. As much as I love my SkyD, I wouldn't do this trade.

Sorry I'm a bit late late in following up this thread had to do some serious work without any distractions.
To answer some of the questions brought up, I am looking at a black dial SkyD on oyster. My wrist size is 6.5 inches or thereabouts. I decided on the 15450st back in 2015 after trying both the 15400 and 15450. The smaller ref looked much better on my more round than flat wrists. I also got a good discount on it at the time. Right now I see them going for nearly 3 times what I paid for it back then. I had a two tone black dial SkyD at retail a little while ago and yes it was borderline too big for me but it was OK as the curved lugs helped it to conform to my wrists. I sold it at small profit a few months later as the gold was just too blingy for me and it was not a watch I would wear regularly. Problem is I do miss it so thinking of getting a steel one. I want to keep collection at a max 6 watches so something has to go to make way and as I very rarely wear the AP nowadays, it is the chosen one. Sent from my SM-G991B using Tapatalk |

Easy call for me, actually, and I’m honestly surprised to even see this question posed (saying that with love!). For me, the RO is in an entirely different league than any Rolex (save a steel Daytona), and the size of the 15450 is going to fit you way better than a Skydweller.
That said, the heart wants what the heart wants, so do what feels right to YOU, and enjoy your clearly fantastic collection!!! |

I have about 6.6" wrist. I always wear what I like, no need an approval from others.

People should wear what they like, but the 15450 is significantly smaller than the 15300 (just like 15300/Jumbo are significantly smaller than the 41mm ROs).

Actually it was 15500OR with black dial, this model came with black dial only for RG.

I SA told me that when try on the watch size, we should look at a full view mirror at a distance instead of close up picture of the wrist shot.

Would never swap a RO for a Rolex... let alone a fat & ugly Sky-D.
