Rolex bracelet for sure wins, everything else is probably pretty even. Factor in the value and availability and the SMP probably edges out.

I remember in around 2007/08 when I went to buy a watch. I first went to buy the Seamaster and tried on a few models, including the PO2500 that had recently released. They also had a Submariner 16610LV preowned for about $5900 and I tried it on, it was above my budget but I always loved Subs and Sea-Dwellers. But the LV felt so flimsy, light and small after trying on the Omegas. I just didn't feel the premium for the Subs was warranted. I walked out with the PO2500.
Today, I would have got the LV....not for market pricing and collectibility and all that crap, but because now I understand the premium and a lighter watch doesn't mean cheaper and a heavier bigger watch doesn't mean better.

On paper watches can be very comparable or one exceeds by a small margin but what isn't on paper is the emotional energy, or the history, or uniqueness.

Based on the OPs reasoning, a Planet Ocean would be even better than the Seamaster.
In the end both are great watches, I prefer the Sub based on looks and design alone, which can be personal but it's pedigree and lineage that can be traced directly back to a watch in 1954 and is apparent just by putting the two together is very appealing to me.

I’m a big fan of the Seamaster 300mp. I plan on getting one, but definitely prefer my Submariner.

There's no doubt the history of any watch is a cool factor. I think the PO came out around 2005, with the latest version since 2016. In 11 years it has three distinct versions, with three different movements. I think they at least have a good movement to stick with for a while. I like the fact that my sub has a movement that was being used in the 1980's.

Seems weird but I like this too. Feels that you have a good quality product. For me the original PO2500 was the best of all. When a company releases a new model over and over, it gives me the sense that what I have is obsolete, that even the manufacturer feels the product is "inferior" in some ways, hence the redesign. It then becomes like an Apple watch, disposable. While some people don't care most people do.

I agree. And the 43.5mm PO is better as well.
