Thoughts on this 16800?
Guys, I'm learning about these and you all seem to be a great resource. I'll post some pics of a watch I found on ebay, and would like to know if there's a way to tell if real/fake (seems real by my eyes). AND, what is yalls experience with reconditioning tarnished hands?

Genuine, but well-loved.
That's quite a bit of corrosion on the second hand though. If it's original to the watch, there was likely an issue with water/moisture intrusion at some point. As such, I'd want to know/confirm the service history and I'd also want to see a pic of the watch with the case-back (and gasket) removed, to assess corrosion. YMMV... |
