6238 - what do you think about it?

I'm thinking of buying it!

What you think about it?

Only The wathch, without box And papers! 😒

USD25,000

It hasn't "BASE" in the dial!

Is this normal?

Tanks

George Lazenby wore one in On Her Majesty's Secret Service during the mountain scenes so it is a "Bond watch"!

My favorite reference, and have had a couple of near misses on finding the right one.

Specifically regarding your question about the absence of "mile" that is not a problem. These dials came with "mile", "base" or no writing on top of the tachometer scale.

Dial seems very nice--lume plots look good. Hands seem original.

Just as important is the movement. If you can post pics of the movement then perhaps some experts on the Valjoux 72B/722 can have a look. Difficult to find original Rolex spare parts for these and servicing is expensive.

Gorgeous reference. One of my faves. I recently pulled the trigger on one and am chomping at the bit to get it back from the RSC here in SF.

I believe Jacek has one for sale now at HQ Milton. Might compare them.
