1st Rolex - How to find info on them?
Hi,
I'm Darren, I live in the UK. I have been after a Rolex for a while and the other half surprised me with one this morning, purchased from a known Pawn Broker shop in London. Photo is of my watch, but from the site it was purchased from. It came boxed and with its card and warranty. I just wanted to know if I can find out what year it was made, and what the strap is. It says steel and gold on the website, but the winder has a crown and 2 dots on it, so I am not sure what that means. Also, as it is gold, would there be hallmarks on it? The model is 116233 Thanks for any help |

Hello Dazza,
Hi Dazza, to the point the seller should have disclosed to you what it is you have purchased, inc a receipt and insurance quote for your insurers, if not get back in touch and request one. Rgds "H" England.

Here's a tutorial on crowns: https://www.chrono-shop.net/en/content/17-crowns
Bottom line is the 2 dots mean a twin lock crown. |

Correct me if I'm wrong but two tone watches typically don't have hallmarks? I could be wrong but I never noticed them on my watches.
