PP 5296R or VC 82035

Looking for a classy simple watch.
The VC has higher MSRP for 34k but should have higher margin comparing to 5296.
Let me know your thoughts! Any opinion would be very appreciated.

I adore the 1921. It's on my list for sure. Buy it pre owned and save a bundle.

Of these I'd go with the Vacheron, but mostly because the sector dial doesn't appeal to me at all.

On this one the VC, but buy preowned, let the first owner take the bath, not you

Depends on your collection, if you have 10 Pateks already I'd possibly go with the Historique American.

If not then I'd go with 5296R-001 Patek.

I would take the VC over this Patek for sure as it is a much better and cooler looking watch.

Not a fan of the "protractor" dial, so VC and regular massages for me.

This thread has me thinking...I hope VC makes a steel 1921 with black dial. I'd be over the moon.

The 1921 is one of my favorite watches, but at $34k it is hard to justify. If you can get a good deal on it I'd go for that for sure.

That's one of the few VCs that I really like, so that would be my choice

So what would be the reasonable price for the VC?

I agree, the VC is easily the pic between these two watches.

I would feel comfortable with a pre-own for 20k, but realistically I seen it for 23k-24k. That's the problem with these brands; you really have to love it and be prepared to lose money if you have to sell .

I am no VC expert , but that's what I see. The only VC I had owned (twice) is the overseas Chrono , at the time retail was 21k and sold for 12k. So close to half of the value .

Hope it helps

I agree 100%
I don't like sector dial. Preowned VC can be had for 30% less. I love the 1921. Unique.

Not big on the sector, would go VC here. But at this price range, I'd serioulsy looking at Lange.
