I believe you will see a SS Coke sometime at the next few Basel's. The SS Pepsi will not happen. If you want the Pepsi you will have to go WG.

Pepsi ceramic just doesn't have the right colors vs the original. Rollie should go back to the drawing board on it. They look pale and washed out from the factory, but not in any cool patina way.

Not gonna happen. Not only will it kill the white gold but it'll kill the black blue stainless which is one of their more popular items

Oh and thanks again rolex for making one of the most iconic watches-current wg red blue available to only the people that make enormous amounts of money instead of most of us who made rolex what they are today

Those willing to pay for more get the full monty -- with the right carefully-planned attributes (e.g., modern bezel Pepsi) -- buying the ability to signal superiority to the poor schmucks like me. The crown of the portfolio... driving profits by margin.

Same reason why the Black Bay is so much thicker than the Sub.

The WG BLRO will more likely than not be my next watch. I think the WG tone with the bezel colors make for a more versatile Pepsi than the SS.

The SS is unlikely with the high cost of Red/Blue ceramic bezels. Perhaps 7 or 8 digit whenever that may be.

I could see it. They could even keep the WG (with its bakelite homage colors) in the catalogue if the SS were to have the 16710-style colors.

I agree, I think that could work well. Also, perhaps they could consider a matte black dial for the stainless and/or new blue Sunburst dial!!

Agree. I think a coke or some other variant is more likely; what would be the benefit of Rolex screwing their BLRO (or other PM) customers? The LN and BLNR GMTs are doing well enough as it is.

Not necessarily. Think about it from a total sales approach (not just sales to enthusiasts and WIS').

There will always be those who want a precious metal watch, and thus there will always be a market for the WG BLRO. In the same vein, there are many multitudes more who, whether they want a PM watch or not, would not buy one. These are people who can easily buy a SS timepiece, and may even be able to buy a PM version of it, but are simply not willing to pay the cost of a car for a watch (whether or not they can afford it).

It becomes more interesting when one looks at the BLNR. For a 'new' variation of GMT colors, it has been selling very well. It's a watch that is different enough from the LN, conservative enough to be worn with a suit, and vibrant enough for a t-shirt and jeans, that it has attracted a lot of interest. Interest that has translated into strong sales.

Now, WIS and enthusiasts will snap up a SS Pepsi (or Coke) GMT when they come out. Like hot cakes.

But the vast majority of Rolex buyers are people who like the brand and are not necessarily WIS. For most of these buyers, if they are in the market for a GMT their buying matrix will be something like this:

> GMT ...or maybe I should take a Sub? No, GMT
> GMT in black, or should I have some color in it
> assuming they pick color ...so, Black/Red, Red/Blue or Black/Blue (they will be unlikely to even know 'Pepsi, Coke or Batman')
> at this point they will look at the Subs and think of getting a Hulk since they want something with color, but then decide to stick to a colored GMT

For such buyers, they will evaluate the BLNR equally to a SS PepsiC or a SS Coke C. The 'heritage' of the Pepsi/Coke is primarily a WIS focus, and to a slightly lesser extent an enthusiast's focus. For many buyers, all three SS ceramic bezels (if we get a SS Pepsi and Coke released, that is) will be evaluated in more or less equal terms.

And many times you will see the Blue/Black BLNR and the Black/Red Coke beat out the Blue/Red Pepsi ...

I think in order for Rolex to make a ss blro they would have to change the colors of the bezel and discontinue the wg version.

I see a few options:
They make it and supply worse than Daytona C and the price on grey market is same as BLRO......

Personally I think the BLNR is the new Pepsi.

I think there is a chance it will come out, plenty doubted Daytona C, I don't think having this has killed gold Daytona. The sky dweller example as well, that was a watch that was always going to stay PM.

I think the pain in the swiss market they may see it as a chance for some quick $'s. Personally I would rather a re-issue or a clean used Root beer (should never have sold mine).

I think Rolex made the Bezel on the White Gold GMT a completely different size to the Stainless version to stop people swapping them .

Or,maybe that's what they would,have us believe
