patrizzi dial

To all those more knowledgeable than me (in fact most of you!!) I've got the chance to purchase a 1997 Daytona U serial with what looks like a Patrizzi dial. It also comes with service papers. Does this fit into Patrizzi time period? I'll try to get some pics asap. Big thanks in advance

Can you take the dial at more of an angle... just to see the shade a little better?

1993-1995 are usually the most recognized ones, although they have been seen up through '98 (mostly) and sometimes on gold Daytonas from 97-98.

Patrizzi should be W series and mostly from 1994

However, you could have some nice patina outside this year and serie, but normaly, there are not considered as Patrizzi.

Patrizzi outside the very nice patina is also a very nice way for second hand store to make extra margin

your knowledge is amazing. So would you swap a tt blue sub and a 1970 full-set Rootbeer for this watch??? (these can be seen in my 1st post)

There are people with much more knowledge than me on this forum.
In my opinion, you should keep what you have especially full set Rootbeer and save some money for the Dayto.

If you don't focus on Patrizzi, there are some nice black 16520 to buy on this forum from people you can trust.

Perhaps, you can trade the tt Blue Sub and pay the difference for the Dayto.

here some nice watches from a famous shop in Paris
www.olivine-prestige.com
you can drop an email and ask for price if you are interested. Not the cheapest one but their selection is just amazing and they only have high quality pieces

That's about the same vintage as mine - a 1998 anniversary present from my wife. I wore it almost daily for 10 years in the heavy construction industry, so it got plenty of sun. The subdials have a nice tan hue - more brown at some angles in strong sun.

I would not - the Daytona you're looking at does not appear to comport with those fetching the high dollars, pounds, euros, etc...

It would be a great gamble and your bluesy and root beer would be gone.

IMHO, if you are seeking a Patrizzi dialed Daytona, start saving now and keep your two iconic Rolexes...

Plus there is a book you can buy to help - Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona (The Patrizzi Pocket Expert, 2) by Osvaldo Patrizzi (2011). About USD$30.00 on Amazon.com

Does this dial look like a Patrizzi to you guys? It's a '97 T serial. I didn't think it was but I was at an AD the other day and the gentleman working thought it was.

patrizzi dial

Wow I do like the look of those subdials... I would not pay a premium or get rid of your sub/GMT for it, though.
