If you really like it, will wear it and have no plans of reselling then get one. But buy used! There is no investment value in modern watches with a few exceptions.

If you're worried about residual value, just buy whatever you fancy pre-owned, assuming you can't obtain a healthy discount on a new one.

Watches are not investments.

I do not care for any Hublot watch at all.

The group LVMH and Mr. Biver have created a watch based on marketing. Now they are coming into their own with in-house movements, but to some it has no traditional and no depth but it is a good watch and it is building a strong following. That said, Compare to VC or AP or PP, and it is non existent.
No long term resell value.

Unless you are going to keep it forever, aim for a deep discount or buy used to minimise the resale hit.

I'd pass. If you like the look perhaps look at the AP ROO line.

There's a guy I see each summer in Ocean City, MD, his condo is right across the street. He wears his Hublot as his 'beach watch', has it on most days, and he's on the beach every day all summer long. Looks good, big, chunky, tech-y. If you like that, get one.

Not being rude to anyone it is for me the quintessential watch of "new rich with no watch culture"

I see them often on people who made their money quickly... Rappers, soccer players, etc.

For that kind of money I would buy anything else but Hublot, unless it is s deal you can not pass (price of a G Shock or Hamilton Khaki).

Its a "Gangsta" watch. But if you are a rapper, NBA or NFL player then it would be actually be bad if you didn't have one

I would avoid at all costs, just not my cup of tea. But if it is really what you want, get it and don't look back.

I've read all the comments but no one has said why they would not purchase one. Is it because it's a gangsta watch, looks too much like an AP ROO, lack of history and quality. Just wondering?
