How did you get them to sell it to you? I thought they only sold straps to owners of Hermes watches. Also is it 20mm?
I don't think you can get the site software to rotate for you, so I did it. Here you go... |

Just rotate the pic before you attach the pic.

thanks for the help rotating the picture. It's supposed to be 20mm but it's a little big, I think it might be 21mm. The store in chicago will sell you as many straps as you want.

What do these straps go for? Was thinking of getting a black shell cordovan from Hermes with their steel buckle.

One thing to note - the straps are expensive (about $300 not including the buckle, which is a few hundred more, or even more if you need gold). They're very nice and yes, Hermes makes some of the best leather goods out there, but if you're expecting to walk out with a new strap and buckle for $150-200 bucks, it's not going to happen. Not saying don't get one (I very well may, myself) but just an FYI. |

Very interesting. Strange and odd though (their selling practice) |

Very nice-!
I've seen these before and really the quality is just top notch. Of course like anything the value proposition is always there. My Parmigiani Tonda 1950 comes factory with a Hermes leather strap. I've also had two made, one by ABP and one by Jean Rousseau and both are top notch. Both of the custom straps cost approximately $250 each. I think the Hermes Alligator/Croc is approx $600.

They are nice. Very nice for vintage watches because they are thin and light depending on which style you choose. Hermes straps start at around 275.00 and the standard hermes steel buckle is 200.00. A lot for a buckle but its a really cool design.

Some Hermes stores are privately owned. The privately owned stores sell to whoever they want for whatever reason they want...

Hmm, I'm not sure I want to pay that for a strap and buckle, sure they are nice but you can get a Camille Fournet alligator strap for around €250, so Hermes needs to be a lot nicer for me to pay that for basically one of their basic straps. Hermes exotic leather straps have a vulgar price tag IMO.
