I don't know any of the details (or the reasons), but many vintage models have the "open 6 and 9" on all but the 26th of the month. My '70's OP Date has a closed 6 on the 26th, but open 6's and 9's on all other dates. Anybody have any insight on this? I think I've seen a post on it but can't find it.
