What i wish never happens....happened

I purchased a 116660 from a member on these forums.checked members feedbacks , members selling posts and everything...the guy seemed legit. Spoked to him on the phone and finally decided to purschase the watch..wired transfert the money to his account and 1 week later received the watch..watch look REAL and BOX too .. ( my first rolex watch ). Spoke to the guy on the phone to tell him how happy i was with the watch.

I rarely wear it..only on special occasion..and decided to bring it for a tune up, after 3 years..brought the watch to my jeweller and he took it and called me back a day later to tell me the watch is FAKE.. Shook , went down witch to the jeweller with the box and papers.. box is real , card is fake , watch is fake and movement is of course fake.

What do i do at this point..am so pissed and disappointed , i tried to communicate with him but no responses..Took me 2 years to save that money.
Please i need help.

If you have made a good faith effort to contact the seller and have gotten no response you are well justified to post the seller's name, etc. here.
It may or not may help you. And, it may help those who consider a purchase from this seller in the future.

X2 if seller hasn't resoonded lost his name inform a mod. Then if you still haven't heard anything file a police report. Post a picture aswel of the watch and the card with upclose details, maybe jeweller has it wrong some of them arnt the best.

tough break but without more info, its tough to get usable feedback/advice beyond the 'sorry to hears' etc...

we can help, but you need to offer more details like;

1) seller name or user handle
2) where was the ad posting found (here, elsewhere?)
3) import or local purchase
4) dates
5) price paid
6) address sent from

etc. etc.

And a photo of the alleged fake movement.

If the watch is fake and you bought it here,

Post some pics and name the seller.

There is no point in delaying.

3 years have gone by?? Seriously? Doesn't that seem odd?

I disagree with the other posters who have said you should post the seller's info. All that will do is tarnish his reputation and it may be the case that the seller did nothing to deserve it.

Has it been in your possession the entire time? Did you check and record the serial number when you received it 3 years ago? Did you get it insured or appraised when you bought it? Did you take a picture of it before you gave it to a 3rd party (jeweler)? Did you save the pictures the seller sent to you?

Um, yeah, I'm really sorry but you're done.

got in touch with him but i feel like this gonna go no where... i am gattering all the infos for a lawsuit, i will post the picture of the watch and put on the stand as soon as i get the confirmation that he is not willing to refund my money. I am still shock and pissed at the same time that i was that naive.. Worst of it , i have checked his feedbacks , contacted one of the buyer and even asked how went there transaction and he said it was went well. I am not general contractor and not a watch expert... Bought the watch in good faith and got screwed like this ..2 years of money savings to buy that watch and this happens ...well ppl be aware out there !!! will update soon.

Kinda fishy when OP reaches out for help and advice and then doesn't reply to anything for 4 days...

Post a photo of the watch. Like mentioned above, what are the chances that the place you brought it in to switched it around? Please post photos of what you received that you feel is not authentic.

I was wondering if anyone went thru this kind of situation and how they dealt with it. I not divulging any infos yet in case that this could jeopardize my case...will update and post pics soon. If in the case this is not resolved..I will put him on the stage.

Hey, settle down. Your antagonistic attitude doesn't help your case much. We're here to offer advice and solutions but without much information to go by, we're stuck deciphering your written words and drawing our own conclusions. Post some photos when you can. Cheers!

This kind of stuff scares me. Personally like to purchase from ADs because I want to avoid this kind of situation. Let us know what happens and if that person doesn't refund then put them on Blast!

I still don't understand your hesitation to name the seller. It'd be good for everyone to know and perhaps prevent someone else from purchasing from the same individual.
