Advice Please! Trade Daytona 2-tone Panda dial for Day-Date 36mm on leather strap?

Please help me with this decision, should I TRADE:

Daytona 116523 40mm - Two tone - Panda dial - two tone yellow gold and steel bracelet

FOR

Day-date 36mm 118138 - Yellow gold case - Cognac dial - leather strap

Both are random serial numbers, complete with box and papers. Thanks guys!

If size is OK for you, go for it! I prefer the DD41.

I honestly don't think I could go back to a 36 but only you can make that decision

Not too much of a Daytona fan; imho it is your call but I too like the DDs better on bracelets.

Same here, I prefer the DD on the president bracelet

If your 65+and sub 200lbs, maybe, otherwise the Daytona is a more modern color scheme, size, and for what they are bracelet is preferable to leather. I really prefer dd41 or 40 now days. Also please keep in mind a cognac dial is opposite side of the spectrum from a panda. In my opinion cognac only works with olive/darker skin tones. I for example am pink, so I can't pull off rose gold, or excessively dark combos.

In short I'd need a picture of you and your collection to decide. But no, don't do it.

Well, it's not a great wisdom to tell you that you should do what YOU (and nobody else) feel is right!
I always buy/trade watches following my heart (and sometimes later regret, but that's life, right)...so I suggest the same for you:
If DD sings to you more than Daytona, then by all means - go for it!

Personally (and I'm a HUGE DD fan), I wouldn't do it!
More complicated movement, great size, fantastic design...what's not to like about that Daytona?

Seriously, IMHO you should stick with Daytona, BUT if you WANT DD - then go for it without a doubt!

Anyways, both fantastic watches, so there is not a wrong decision!

In my opinion, the bracelet "makes" the DD. Plus you may find out you can't live with the 36mm. I'd stay put unless you go for the DD 41.

No to 36. Dd40, yes! Once you're used to 40, 36 just feels small. Another option is dj41 for the same price point.

On the trade listed I would not do it. The Daytona is the watch on a bracelet. If the DD was the 40 or 41 on a bracelet then maybe.

The charm of the 36DD is the combination with the President bracelet.
Without it, i'd keep the Daytona. TT Panda is a beauty

TT Panda Daytona is my personal favorite so I'd say no. As many has echoed, DD should be on a presidential bracelet. So double no
Not that it matters but monetary wise, I think the DD on leather costs more than the TT Daytona so you may come out on top on a straight trade?

Keep the Daytona! I would personally regret switching back from 40mm to 36

Can't wear a leather strap over here and I find a chronograph a LOT more useful than a watch that tells me that it's Wednesday, so that'd be a %100 negatory for me.
