Gift the 24 and keep two of the hottest Pateks released this year. Clearly it's not ideal but you'll have two amazing Pateks new from AD long after the money's gone.

If he is new to this AD then it makes sense. Same thing happened to me; walked into an AD I have no relationship with and asked for the Daytona-c. She said she could easily get me one if I bought the DD40 in platinum.

Let me guess, the AD that made you this offer is the same AD that offered you the other 5131 if you buy other high priced Patek watches? There is no extortion here as it is merely a business transaction offer.

I am surprised so many people are saying the 5650 is one of the best Patek releases from this year. I thought there were still many people who hated the cutout.

It's always the same, as soon as the sales price of grey dealers exceeds the original retail price, the perception of most people change...

Look at chron24. Sellers ask a lot for 5650G. Do not who is going to pay that price for 5650G.

All depends on relationship, try to do it in a way where as he will not feel offended. You never know, it could unlock the key to many more special orders in the future

5650 with VAT refund in U.K. is like 46KUSD and 59K in the US before sales tax. Tell Jamie I will give him the 13K difference and he can keep my papers for two years. LOL!

I know it is not the best deal. However, It is quite hard to get 5131P as a new customer everywhere in the world. Every AD you visit, it will ask you to buy many watches and not even mention about 5131P.

In this offer, I am guaranteed to have 5131P and 5650G. However, not sure I really like 5650G.

If you really want the 5131/1P and the 5650G, perhaps you can negotiate with this new AD. The diamond Twenty~4 is an example of a pure jewelry piece. However if there is a men's watch in that price range that you would consider getting as part of the package, perhaps you can make a counter-offer. Do they have the 5271P, 5204P, 5370P or something along those lines?
