I really like the ti, if you can handle the gold with that much bling then that one is cool too.

Which do you prefer?

In the flesh the yellow gold does look better than in photos but the sandblasted titanium is definitely better. Both bezels will be scratch magnets for sure. The movements are creations of APRP and they are rather RM-esque in my view (APRP also do the RM tourbillons). No bad thing of course.

Personally having now seen them in the flesh I prefer the older 26288 and 26388 versions.

I know AP is doing it a lot lately but I just can't get over a royal oak without the vertical finishing on case and bezel. It's wrong!

TI. AP yellow gold looks like highlighter or something like that. Not sure if it's like that in person. But in pictures it looks horrible.

I'd go Ti, I prefer RG to YG, esp on a bezel.

Not sure why they don't just put Ceramic or Cermet Bezels on these types of pieces. They are so friggin awesome but would be quite an eyesore to see the bezel all nicked up. No matter how good ones wrist awareness is they are bound to hit something considering the size of these pieces. I would choose the left if I had to pick but at that price point making sure Bezel was scratch resistant

to me the case looks too much like the regular 44's visually. For such a special piece, i would want more of a visual distinction in the case. I do love that one though.

Sandblasted titanium gives what is already a very special watch that much more of a unique look.

Sandblasted Ti is my favorite ROO tourb... like Roger said, a lot of RM vibe in it...

For some reason I don't like AP YG... it is not even close to AP RG hue... opposite of that I love more YG than RG on Rolex watches...

The innards of the watch give it that mechanical "transformer-isk" look that goes well with a metallic colour... so Titanium. And its a tourbillon...it doesn't need gold to notch it up the desirability scale.

All will be revealed in a few weeks on my decision. Need some stop gaps before my special piece arrives early next year.

The colour of the titanium just blends with the movement. The YG contrasts better and makes the skeletonised movement and tourbillon (which IMO is the reason for this watch) stand out better.
