ROC 26331st opinions
I may be looking for a piece to replace my Daytona and wanted to get owners past or present opinions on the 26331st
Not sure on dial I'll be looking at the black and silver (not a fan of blue) |

Blue is my favorite, but i think all of the SS options from this year are great. The silver/black is even the same color scheme as your daytona, but the reverse looks great too probably my second favorite (black/silver). Haven't owned one yet, but I've tried the RO chronographs on enough to know i really like them. I have a similar issue in that i have a Rolex GMTII which i truly love but have a hard time wearing it as it is such a large step down in size from what i have become comfortable with. |

The blue is my fav too, and I'm not one of the guys that HAS to have the blue dialed 300/400/202. But in this case, blue is king...
The black with the silver subs would be my 2nd choice, though I would take any of them over the Daytona.

26331st is a great piece. A friend has since a couple of years ago a black dial one and he ha beaten the hell out of it. Still looks great from a meter away and movement haven't missed a tic.

As soon as they do release an in house the price will jump a lot. Just look at what VC did when they released the in house overseas chronograph (the old vs new is something like £7k difference). So its a pretty good value right now IMO. |

Well you don't really need any RO when you have the blue PT 44 Mike, so that's not really the same as someone who has no AP, now is it?

I didn't meant I don't NEED a 300/400/202.

Thnaks guys..
Yeah blues not for me one of the reasons I'm not interested in the 15202 wished they did a black or grey 15202 then I'd be all over it If they release an inhouse movement do you think the prices will drop? |

The value retention of the older models will hold steady i think as there is virtually zero chance AP releases an in-house at the same price as the current model. If they did the older model prices would drop. Assuming they follow the VC example, price wise, i don't think the two models will compete with each other. Personally I really like the VC overseas chronograph a lot, but at the old model prices. The new prices for the in house, i'm not a buyer at all. There will probably be some of that with the RO Chrono when the release an in-house too which keeps a floor on the prices for the older model as there will be a lot who don't want to pay the extra money for an in-house movement when they are use to the current price. |

I was looking at the blue ROC recently and found it quite dark, and with the subdials on the dial I can see this being hard to pop and get in the right light. Black with silver subdials would be my pick.
I had one and the F. Piguet based mvmnt felt very solid, no issues. |

Have to see these in person. Assuming I feel the same as before I much prefer a jumbo for that money. I know they are very different...just my thoughts for RO on bracelet. Of course if you're lucky enough to already have the jumbo then

I know but since you were saying you are not part of those who need a blue RO, I understand, with the blue 44 PT, you have one of the coolest blue AP, if not the coolest

I tried on both today:
I was not a fan of either when seeing the pictures. Seeing it in the flesh completely changed my mind. In the 26320ST reference, I own the black dialed one, and hated the white dial one. In the 26331ST reference, I would take the silver dial without hesitation. I find the silver dials very distracting on the black dial, while the black dials and outer ring on the silver dial work really well IMHO. |

Bringing this back up as the Daytona is no longer with me and I'm still in two minds between the 15400 (black) and the 26311st (black or silver)
Anymore live pics of the 26311? |

I'd say the chrono with black dial Sam.

I'd go 15400. I'm loving the 15450 (right size for me) so much that I am adding a blue dial 15450 to the collection (hopefully landing next week). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

ROC 26331st opinions
Quote:
That's what I noticed on the new ROC Panda especially the silver dial. My two concerns are: 1) the unequal size on the 3 sub dials, 2) the placement of the date window which is near the 5, instead of being in the middle of 4 and 5 as in the earlier model. I really want to add another AP and an ROC is in sight except for these two concerns that are holding me back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hello. I heard from big ad that the new in house movement is ready but probably will not be delivered on roc first. But it will come with price jump like vacheron.
About the choice I tried them all and I have mixed feeling: with dark dial either blue or black the subdials really pop trough the glass too much The panda one I think is a bit elegant..so not for me All in all: if you want a roc better take the 26300 or 26320 blue or wait For me AP = offshore and 15202...the rest mmmmmmm im not convinced My opinion. |

Those ROCs do look very good, and now they are proper Panda dials, damn your Owl dials Rolex!, both versions look fantastic. Just the smaller subdial jars a bit with me as I had the old version.

Prefer the white dial ROC over the black one but would take either over 15400.

I know the 15400 is the least favourite with most out of the RO line up but the 15202 is a non starter for me as I'm just not sold on blue dials, I guess the 15300 would of done me better. Wish there was a black dial 15202 actually or if I was in this position a while back the 15305st when you could find a LNIB example for reasonable money (reasonable in WIS terms that is) |
