I think I made a mistake..

I got caught up in the Daytona Hype last week and put myself on a wait list for a white dial. Luckily my AD asked for no deposit, no compromises, I have a good relationship with them and that watch will sell no problems.

Now that I'm more calmed, I realized probably I made a mistake. The Yachtmaster ,which is my current and only watch, is great for me but one of the reasons why I'm looking for a new one is the fact that in a lot of situations I feel its too dressy. I'm more of a casual guy, architect, jeans/tshirt, casual button down and chinos, cocktail outfit at most and its 2 times a years, I just dont wear suits. My AD said that I could cancel daytona and get a Hulk or BLNR in about 3 months.

It's going to be my one and only, Im got to beat the living s*** out of it, gym, beach, construction sites, getting to know cities around the world and everything my active lifestyle throws at me. So question is, What would you guys recommend? Daytona? Hulk? BLNR? I can't keep the YM since my wife called dibs on it already.

Thanks! Any recommendation will be highly appreciated!

Perhaps a BLNR? Could be particularly handy during your explorations of the cities around the world.

Obviously it's your call but the BLNR is the choice for me.

Not a mistake really. Stay on the list and see how you feel when your name is called... in about 5 years you may feel differently.

If you need/want a chrono then get the Daytona.

If you need/want a GMT hand get the BLNR.

If you need neither of those then I'd go Hulk (or any SubC) for the all brushed bracelet and the Glidelock.

For my one and only I chose the 114060 and couldn't be happier but I think all of the ones you mentioned are perfectly suitable options depending upon your preferences. I had always wanted a Sub and really appreciate the Glidelock and non-date dial symmetry which is why I went 114060. Hulk was a in the running as I love the green dial, but decided I liked the versatility and classic looks of the black in the end.

I think the LV-C or the BLNR would be great...but honestly, if you're feeling like the YM is too dressy, then I would look at the new EXP or EXP2.

What are the lists like in the Dom Rep?

Because you would have time to change your mind numerous times in the UK prior to the watch arriving. If they accept you onto the list (my AD stated that they are not taking any further names as they have no real chance of working down it as it stands) stay there and make the decision when it arrives, you can always decline the purchase.

Most of the ones you mentioned will take quite a bit of 'action' within reason of course. Go with the one that 'does it' for you - you can always flip it on down the line if it does not work out. Good luck!

I'd go LVc myself. Brushed. Diving bezel. Beautiful. Date.

Keep your name on the waitlist as it may take more than a year to get the call and decide then. I wear my 116500 white as a daily beater and it's perfect for all occasions.

LVC gets my vote of the three you mentioned. If your YM is too dressy for your taste, the BLNR and Daytona will feel the same.

It's not really a mistake. Easy to correct.

To be honest the AD will be relieved if you take your name off the list. It gives him an easier job of appeasing his other customers.

LV sounds like a match, the only part tripping me up is the "traveling to cities around the world" that's where the blnr may win out...

Sub c! Very comfortable, appropriate for any situation, tough, checks all the boxes in my opinion. If you want something a little different, explorer 2??

Idk about the Daytona as a beater... but if you did decide on getting it when you get the call, I don't think you'll really be regretting it.

We can't decide for you. Try them all on and see what speaks to you the most. If you want a recommendation from me, I insist on getting the biggest Hublot you can find (preferably over 48mm).

You guys are way more patient than I. Screw the middle man AD. If US, hit up one of the online guys and get it overnighted.

I find the YM to be super casual looking with its cartoony aesthetic.

If you do get the call and don't want it - I'd be more than happy to take it off your hands! I'll even meet you in Santo Domingo. :D

I use mine for similar activities. A Sub sounds like the watch for you. 114060 fits your description perfectly.

If its your only the 116610LN can take all you throw at it and look great doing it. The LV is a beautiful piece but the green can clash with dress apparel IMO.
