Any of the watches you named are fine...including Yachtmaster and Daytona. Those are sport watches and certainly not dressy. Just pick what you like

I've been thinking of the white Daytona. My thought is to get the case top brushed and the bracelet. I think that with the white dial would make it an amazing every day watch. Also another thing to keep in mind.......for me the daytona is much more comfortable than a sub or gmt. Way way way more comfortable.

People in general don't notice or care what watch we wear, 'active lifestyle ' or not. Any Rolex can manage, as can any other decent watch, which is liberating really. Forget all the 'image' stuff and simply choose the watch you like the most.
As an architect, you could consider some less obvious choices such as the Milgaus GV. Or an IWC.

I think the mistake would be not grabbing that white dial Daytona when it comes in!

My opinion:
1. Keep your name on the list, gives you plenty of time to think about your options.
2. Agree with melrob1- Daytona is way more comfortable for me than sub or BLNR (have all 3), my wrist is 6.75
3. Daytona white can easily be work as daily casual watch, I do.
4. If you decide you don't want Daytona, then would consider BLNR as it would suit your lifestyle well.
5. If you don't like the PCL on the BLNR or want something that looks a it more "rugged" then would consider the explorer 2 (if you want a date and gmt and can pull off the 42mm case) or explorer 1 if you don't need a date.
6. If you are open to buying pre-owned, then look at some 5 digits, specifically 16710 and 40mm exp2

What's the mistake? Get the Daytona and if you don't like it, sell it and get blnr and hulk.

Of those listed? Hulk. BLNR is nice, but I feel it's a tad bit dressier (is that a word) than the sub.

As an aside, I don't care for the Daytona. I have a number of non-Rolex Chronos and never, repeat, never use them. While they are fascinating from a complexities perspective, I don't use them. And my vision ain't what it used to be. I'd buy all no-dates in the future if I could.

I have a YM same as yourself. Also have a mutitude of DJ2's and GMT's.

If you really want a chrono then go for a Panda Dial Speedmaster.

Otherwise you really should consider a black dial Explorer 2 42mm.

I can't over-emphasise enough how handsome a watch the Explorer 2 42mm is in black dial and it's as tough as old boots and dresses up or down better than any other Rolex I've come across.

I like the LVc most, but as a one and only I would also consider the black subc altho I'm moving away from black dials.

Sub LVc, all day every day. I cannot understand those who say that it can clash with apparel; if it was the size of a house then maybe, but not something that small.

Best modern SS Rolex, go for it!

I think I made a mistake..

I have a 16610 Sub date and the 116610lv. I feel bad for the ln because the lv gets all the wrist time. The great part of the green dial is it really doesn't technically go with anything and therefore goes with everything by adding a splash of color. I wouldn't wear it with a tux, but from what you are describing it is perfect. The only thing is the travel which would make the blnr complication useful. Good luck deciding, you really can't go wrong!

A black sub c works for all the situations you mentioned. It is an everyday, casual/formal and tough sob.

First of all, I have to thank this amazing community for the inputs. I've decided to stay on the list, try the daytona and then I'll see if it works for me, if it doesn't I'll get the Hulk.

Exp 2 in black. Built like a tank, not too flashy. Date and GMT functions. Would be my choice based on what you said you needed.

If you need neither of those then I'd go Hulk (or any SubC) for the all brushed bracelet and the Glidelock.

For my one and only I chose the 114060 and couldn't be happier but I think all of the ones you mentioned are perfectly suitable options depending upon your preferences. I had always wanted a Sub and really appreciate the Glidelock and non-date dial symmetry which is why I went 114060. Hulk was a in the running as I love the green dial, but decided I liked the versatility and classic looks of the black in the end.
This. Except that I once owned a Hulk. It's a really neat watch, great colors, but not suitable as an everyday you know, every day. I'm sure plenty of LV owners will disagree with me.

I suspect that the 114060 will be the best bet for OP.

Stay on the list for the Daytona, buy it and flip it for a profit.

I personally would go with an exp2 in black given what you have said. Seems like it ticks the boxes.

I would never wear a nice Rolex at the gym or construction site. I'd get a gshock as a beater.

BLNR is my modern go to watch. That said ANY GMT will fit the bill. Find a used 16710 and enjoy! If you have an 8"+ wrist consider the SDDS James Cameron.

I don't think that any Oyster is too dressy for any occasion.

I think the 116500 is a very versatile watch, especially for someone who into casual attire.
