I am sure this will probably be ruled too casual- but the 5524.

I wear all of mine with polo shirts and jeans or when I am dressed up. Just rock it and it will work.

If you can, I suggest you take a trip down to NYC for the Patek Grand Exhibition this weekend and also stop by the Christie's Patek Auction next door.
I'm sure you will find something memorable that meets your criteria in that price range. On a side note: if you are looking for the best value in a high end chrono it has to be the Lange 1815 chrono but the Patek's sing a much sweeter song to the heart. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk |

What about a 5270r or 5270g?
I know it is a little up there in price, but I am seeing some 2017's on Chrono24 for mid $120's. That is the UPPER ceiling of how much I can spend and it is a little outside my comfort zone, but man that is a beauty. Any other rivals in that price arena. Another one I absolutely love is the much adored 5131 (especially the 5131r for me). BUT... for the more reasonable options, I am liking the 5170r and 5170g best. I also like the 5146p a lot too and love the idea of adding platinum to the collection... |

Plus I really want it to be Patek for this one. David SW has one for $58,500 in unworn condition. https://davidsw.com/product/patek-ph...th-black-dial/ I also like the white dial very much. 5146p has me thinking too because I could use an AC and platinum is nice as well. |

5270R --- This first pic is from the Patek 2017 Basel roadshow, so not it's not great, but you'll get the idea. It seems the 5270 is on your mind. Take your time and make an informed decision. These are too expensive to rush it. From the roadshow: Here's mine, still suffocating... And IMHO, I think it can be worn however / whenever you want, except water sports of course.

I just want you to know you are my hero now. Just knocking down grail watches like bowling ball pins. That being said, I've always purchased stainless steel Rolexes and promised myself when I bought a Patek it would be yg or rg. There is just something about Patek elegance, that deserves the brighter metals. Of course it is ultimately what makes you happy and I wish you luck in your search. I'll definitely be following as a Patek is my true grail and I'll be interested to see how an experienced collector approaches this decision.

As much as it perplexes me when someone seriously asks a bunch of random strangers on the internet to help spend a significant sum of money, I’ll play…
Martin’s suggestion of the 5170 (WG for more casual usage perhaps) is not bad, but I can’t help address the elephant in the room – at this level of expenditure, why are you restricting yourself to just the one brand? In my usual straight to the point manner, I’ll recommend that you open your eyes to what else is out there that’s every bit as worthy of consideration. FPJ Octa Perpetual LF Galet Or choose whichever colour takes your fancy… And I haven’t even mentioned the pre-owned ‘bargains’ that De Bethune offers, nor some of the Chopard LUCs. |

FPJ has instantaneous change which I like. My OCD couldn't get past the printed numerals considering how nicely done they are in the CS

Save some money and go for the 5146p. It's got everything you're looking for and then some.

We have a famous footballer here, Frank Lampard, who is also the most intelligent apparently, can even speak Latin, and he often wears his PCC with jeans and sneakers on TV sports comedy shows. His cousin Jamie Redknapp often wears an AP Concept, which he sometimes swaps with James Corden's AP 15400. |

For newer pieces...I like 5905 as others have said it's bigger - but I like that.
Same family 5960P pre owned is very nice as well... If you don't like chrono's 5205 nice option...I have always had a soft spot for the 5146 too for a more traditional size |

Yeah but some of these random strangers have owned and tried a large sample of Patek dresses watches. This forum really helps in the research phase... Clearly I still want to go and try them all on, but it helps to narrow down choices. For example , really practical advice like which watches stay strong and which tank on the secondary market is VERY important in my considerations.
But having said that, thanks for playing... Lovely pictures!! Though still leaning just Patek, I am certainly open to seeing other options. Quote:
