My Newest Purchase!!! 16753

Hello everyone, figured I would show you all my newest purchase, just picked it up today and couldn't be any happier!! Truly is one of my favorites in my collection! This one has the box and original papers (SN blurred out), as well as the original tags with the numbers still on it, truly a time capsule piece!! I purchased this "Root Beer" 16753 from the original purchaser who kept it as a second watch only used for very special occasions. He told me he hardly ever wore it, and just loved to look at it, as do I. It was made in 1979 and remains to be like new, I was stunned when I saw the band sideways, you just dont find them like this!! Even the paperwork was never filled out (again please excuse the blurred numbers) Please enjoy!!

What a purchase! Congratulations on getting it at that condition. It looks like it was produced just yesterday.

Great pickup. These really sing to me too. You also got a very very desirable box combo. Upstanding seller to keep the package together like that.

Looks nice from what I can see. I'm sure you'll have opportunities to post more photos in better lighting so we can really appreciate the dial.

I'm still trying to figure out what is going on with the market for these RB 1675/16753 pieces. There have been some strong auction results for them recently, and dealers seem to be picking up on that, but then a nice one sells for less than $8k on eBay. Without papers of course.

Thank you all for the comments, it’s is definitely on my keep side of the safe!! I’ll make sure I show more photos for everyone soon once I get back from a business trip.

In other news, I didn’t last a whole 12 hours before buying ANOTHER Rolex! Today I bought a 2006 Yachmaster with box and papers of course, that was originally sold in Switzerland new! This is one I’ve wanted because of the hard to find gold/champagne face, here is a quick photo, more to come of

I've become reasonably obsessed with these matte dial 16753s recently, and this is easily the best that I've seen in all my longings. What a fantastic set...and DIBS!

OMG!! That's simply amazingly awesomely breathtaking!!!

My wife and I have matching 16753 RootBeers, and get more comments on them than ANY other pieces we own. No matter how long I wear it, it still is a beauty. But YOURS!!???!?? It's an art piece!!

(Even if someone else already said it . . . I've got dibs on it, when you decide to let it go. )

And, last . . . if it's not too personal . . . how much did you pay for this Full set? (Not that it matters, but this really sets the bar!)

Congratulations, Aaron. Wear it in good health!
