How I acquired SD43 and Pepsi walking in on the same day.

I have a decent purchase history with this particular AD.

Wife and I went in knowing they kind of had an SD43 possibly available for me.

They did, purchased that and went and had lunch, before we left, wife says, "let me know if you can dig up a ladies, Nautilus in rose gold with a diamond bezel 2019 model 35mm. They paused for minute...

Called us at lunch and said "we have one". We offered a price and hinged it on "finding" a new GMT Pepsi.

They countered on the price and said they could do a new Bat Man, I said I had to hold out for the Pepsi, few minutes later, they confirmed they would make one available.

Triple incoming.
Patek Ladies Rose Gold 35mm Nautilus
Seadweller 43 50th Anniv.
Pepsi GMT Ceramic

Over the moon!

Cheers,

Congrats. Just goes to show that dealers CAN find these, there's someone always with it somewhere that has it in the back for particular situations likes yours. 99.9% if you just walked in asking for the Pepsi or even Batman it would have been "sorry"

Yet further proof that these are not scarce, and AD’s are intentionally keeping the cases empty. Well done!

nicely done... you should have countered and said you would return the seadweller unless they concurred.
I also agree... forget the Batman/Bruce Wayne, the Pepsi is MUCH BETTER

So you're a rich VIP client who dropped ~80k in a day and got one hot model?

Sounds about right.

Depends on where you are located, but sometimes money doesn't talk at all. I walked in with $75K cash in hand and wanted to purchase at least two hot watches like the Pepsi, Batman, Hulk and Daytona and a ladies Patek for my wife and got nothing even though I had purchasing history with the dealer.

Second time I walked in with no intention of purchasing anything just stopped by to say hi to the sales people I work with and I got an SD43 at one dealer and a DSDB at another dealer within two weeks apart from one another. Go figure.

OP, Congrats on your purchase...

first off. Huge congrats! Some monster incomings!

That said, it's so silly the games these ADs play. No we don't have a pepsi, available. Oh wait, you're gonna walk away, hold on, Oh I found one!!!
