Some people dont like this dial color but I love it.

Most beautiful nautilus ever made in my opinion.

Would love to hear the story behind the photo.

Was it better or worse than the photos once you saw in person?

MUCH better in person… Press photos don’t do it justice.

Re: the backstory… essentially this was a right place / right time situation. I’m on vacation with my wife and one of the hotels we had dinner at happens to have a grey dealer store in the hotel lobby (won’t name the location / city to be fair to the dealer). Essentially walked in after dinner and stuck up a conversation all things watch related. After chatting for a good 30 minutes he told me to “hang tight” and went to get something from the back and THAT is what came out. He mentioned there was no price on the watch as one has yet to sell in the “open” market but assumed it was worth roughly $4.3M USD. THIS IS NOT MY WATCH, nor do I know what they paid or how they got it but I assure you it’s real.

So you're saying I can't borrow it for a special occasion?

What a piece!

What's interesting is that the date font seems to be different from the press photos.

To my knowledge, the olive 5711s and the tiffany 5711s come with newer, thicker date fonts but here, the date font looks more like the ones from the older, regular 5711s.

Hour markers and hands also look reflective as if they are polished - must be the strong spotlights.

interesting. I was just talking to a friend who had this watch in her possession. She had said that most of the watches are not to be sold, and to be given out. Used more of a marketing ploy. And because they were being given out to specific people, nobody should be selling, because it was to people who really wouldn't need that money either.

I guess with time, we'll see

Great catch and highly suspect IMO.

Both the press photos as well as photos of the Phillipps 5711 Tiffany blue taken on Zach Lu's wrist clearly show the new date font, see:

https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/my...s#&gid=1&pid=4

I'd find it surprising if they produced some of these 170 watches with the new date font a la 5711 green and others with the old one a la 5711 blue and white. Maybe someone bought an unworn 5711 blue or white and thought swapping in a Tiffany blue dial might net them some extra cash.

Agreed, looks like the "old" font. Would be interested in better photos of the Tiffany & Co. stamping as well (although historically the stamping hasn't always been perfect, but you'd think they'd get it near-perfect for this final run).

Buyer beware...

To me, these look like custom dials rather than factory ones. The date font and polished markers are the main indicators.

Did you just screenshot and crop the picture that Alexandre Arnault posted on his story?
