Saw the Oasis doc on Netflix and got me thinking…

The Beatles. Possibly due to their variety of music on each album and their evolution.

Groundbreaking and instrumental in the British Invasion.

I can’t pick one, it’s gotta be two….Beatles & Rolling Stones.
And if you don’t like it, get off my cloud.

Pink Floyd. Stones close second. I could go either way depending on my mood.

Several faves on that graphic, but when music mattered most to me, I was a Clash man.

I quite liked Oasis, they were what the Beatles would sound like now if they were still going. Queen and The Jam would come close.

Love the 'Stones, too Dan.
I grew up near to Richmond and saw them in the very early days at the Crawdaddy and the Station Hotel..happy daze!
I was at Hyde Park...Brian has just died.I had one of the Butterflies in a matchbox for years (sad git).

Saw this today, made me smile. They've all live a life haven't they!
Who knew we'd all live this long.

PS. There's a nice series on the BBC at the mo'...available on BBC Playback.

My choice was the Beatles because of their influence and their music but obviously tons of great songs from all the other guys.

The Rolling Stones and Aerosmith (obviously not British) and a few others are great examples that if you stick around long enough and play live, you become immortal.

Too many to mention , but my own musical exploration began with The Specials & the two tone scene back in 79 .But I was heavily influenced by my Parents choice of music ,which was pretty much all the popular British bands of the 60s early 70s .

The Who. They could blow anyone else away in their day - even The Rolling Stones in a guest spot on their own show:
