Podcast Recommendations

I listen to Podcasts the majority of the time while driving and also sometimes at work. There are a handful that I listen to religiously but would like some more options.

Here are my current favorites:

Bill Burr Monday Morning
Club Random With Bill Mahar
Smartless
Rogan
Freakonomics
Stuff You Should Know

Any recommendations? And nothing political for obvious TRF reasons.

The show came out on Peacock, was really good. Podcast was awesome.

If you like true crime, check out Sword and Scale.

I am a fan of a lot of them from NPR that talk about economics. The indicator, Planet Money, etc. The indicator is kind of an interesting one and is only about 10-15 minutes.

I am not sure how it fits in with your set OP, but it is a fun way to pick up some economic data and outlooks that are not normally talked about.

I binge listen to How Long Gone. Two early 40s funny LA hipsters talking crap… Not for everyone but I love it.

Smartless is hilarious though Jason Bateman’s smarminess with guests can get a bit much. Worth it just to hear Will Arnett roast him every episode.

Conan [O’Brien] Needs A Friend is a treasure. Some favourites have been him interviewing Jim Gaffigan and Bill Hader…

I pay a subscription to hear a couple of menswear denizens (A Continuous Lean’s Michael Williams and author/dandy David Coggins) talk about fly fishing, team sports and travel, called Central Division. It’s very light but lovely.

Don’t know how I forgot this one, but The Adam Buxton Podcast is great. A smart and warm interviewer who goes pretty deep with mosts interviewees while also keeping it pretty funny. I think he really does his homework beforehand because it’a always natural-sounding with great questions.

If you’re listening to burr and rogan, try two bears one cave. Tom segura and Bert Kreischers podcast.

I've recently discovered Henry Rollins' podcasts. I is a very articulate and entertaining man. He covers his encounters with as diverse a crew as William (Bill) Shatner, Ozzy & Black Sabbeth, Jerry Lee Lewis and Hurbert Selby Jr.
