Patek Philippe - help with first purchase

Hi,

I am looking for a little help.

I have collected Rolex's for years and love the brand but feel I need something else in my collection.

I have always loved Patek's but thought they may be just something I would aspire to and may never actually own. However, I have recently found myself more and more drawn to the brand and think I will soon commit.

The model I like is the 5296 Calatrava although I am trying to make my mind up between the

5296G

My questions are as follows:

Should I be considering anything else in the Patek range?

Where is the best place to buy a Patek in the UK?

Is discount a word that can be used with a Patek AD?

Any other help or advice would be appreciated.

Both of those are beautiful watches! As far as a discount, in these times I would think the Patek AD would welcome your business and give you a discount. Please let us know if he/she does. Cheers, Bill P.

They are both simple but classic Patek Calatrava's.
They use one of patek's most popular movements the 324.
W/G can imo be used in all circumstances.
Where as the R/G is more for casual.
