Split FS/WTB section poll.

I'd like to see two For Sale/Wanted sections, one for Rolex watches and another for other brands, perhaps even four - split Rolex and other into two, a FS and WTB.

Don't misunderstand, I have nothing against any brand of watch it's just that there is such a volume of watches in the current section that it's hard to keep up.

An ad posted there drops off the front page in less than 24 hours so I think a split would be a good idea.

What do you think?

It's not as bad here's as it is on TZ and Watchuseek. Here at least there are only around 25 listings per page and there's some space between them. I have to just use the search function on other sites because it all runs together. I wouldn't be opposed to your idea though. Other brands don't interest me and get in the way of viewing what I want.

I don't really care whether the Rolex/Other brands are split into different forums, but it would be nice to have the WTB and FS seperate.

I am going to respond to the part of your above post that quotes" An ad posted there drops off the front page in less than 24 hours so I think a split would be a good idea."

I believe this is a problem as well, and was thinking of this the other day.

#1 When an item sells please just reply to the original post "SOLD!" I have noticed a lot of members do this, but they also make a new post that just says SOLD, so now you have created 2 new posts in a sense, and before you know it, an earlier FS post, only a few hours old is on the next page.

#2 Combine your listings please.
If you are selling 5 Rolex watches, make one post, and list them all in the same ad, as opposed to creating 5 new ads.

This just my 2 Canadian cents, but i hope the mods take this into consideration.

Thanks for bringing this up. I believe something should be done.

Cheers

Sorry for the rant. I'm a little fired up at the moment here at work.

I think my above post is the longest I have written in my history of being here. LOL.

Jeff, I agree with you #1. The new post that just says "SOLD" is lame. What's up with that?

Here, Hear.

I wouldn't say it's lame at all, just an extra post that's not needed.

I simply use the "Search this Forum" function on the upper right of the FS/WTB Forum page to narrow my parameters.

I would like to start a poll and ask members why they start two threads with the same topic twice on the same day

People can read the title of a FS ad to see what is being listed. You can either choose to click on the ad, or not. It ain't rocket science, unless of course, your primary reason here is to buy/sell. Then it might be wasting your precious little time.
