I suspect they will fall, but it's hard to know by how much, and long it will take for that to happen. You need to figure out how long you're willing to wait, combined with how much you think it might drop, to figure out when the time to buy is right. Imagine you wait 5 years and the price only drops by $1,000-2,000 - is that enough of a drop to make you wait that long? Then imagine it takes 10 years… still sound worth it? This is how you should look at it.

Are you referring to Ref.116710 or Ref.126710?

Suspicions of price drop is no better than suspicions of price increases. The new model is out and has dropped in price since first few weeks of deliveries on 5/1. It’s now low $20s. On the other hand the prior model is only going up in price. Haven’t seen it this high ever. It may be peaking but I don’t think you can expect to get it less than $15k especially in this market. It’s still a recent jump so if you have a seller for that amount just jump on it!!!

Edit: see Kermit v Hulk price comparisons. Full set is equal to or more AND flat 4 forget it. Also Kermit was like $4-$5k new at the time.

They will increase until they plateau for a period of time, then start falling.

YES! In 200 years it will be worth $30k. Of course that depends on if we're still using the same currency. By the way a pack of cigarettes will be about $50 (or equiv).

That’s a good question. I own a Batman Gmt and I am trying to decide if I should sell it with prices being high or wait a few years.

Sell it now. Don't let inflation and falling prices eat into your margin.

They're coming. The price hasn't gone up appreciably recently. Sell now, put the money in traditional investments, and buy again later at MSRP when the fad has died down.

Who says they are coming?

Oyster BLNR has been discontinued - it will never be at MSRP, or in stores, ever again.

BLNR is my favourite watch why on earth. I didn’t buy for investment

Do not under any circumstances sell a Batman. You will gain by waiting.

If you are thinking about buying, do it now, before the price goes up!

A few people have mentioned they will fall back to MSRP. I dont see how this would ever happen considering it's a Rolex sports model, a GMT, and it's discontinued. Can you name another piece that's ever done that in the history of Rolex. And the brand is only getting stronger.

The 16570 msrp was over the 4K they were selling for 2-3 years ago. As i got it right on my first try, i won’t waste time writing the rest of them .

I’ll just leave this here and you decide 11670 v 126710

1) first ever bi colored ceramic bezel gmt. It’s the watch that invented this.
2) last ever (with the ln) oyster bracelet gmt
3) first ever iteration of the Batman reference
4) 5-6 year production only (discontinued)
5) current Batman identical to untrained eye except for bracelet so there’s not really an upside to getting the 126710blnr over the 116710 (ie ceramic bezel over metal).
6) iconic modern reference

Need I saw more? There’s plenty of firsts and even a last. How many references can you say that about especially with a short production.
