I'd go L1 MP as well even at a higher price point. Pretty much my ultimate dress watch.

I got to try on the Rolex and I think it is beautiful. It would most likely be the one I'd choose.

The moon disc on the Rolex definitely isn't hand made. The Breguet moon disc is chemically blued instead of thermally blued. Vacheron's moon discs are painted with no inserts.

Just because a watch is over 1000 dollars doesn't mean they don't take short cuts. For example Breguet's silver guilloche dials are actually gold, but then painted silver because gold is cheaper for the purpose in that it is softer and easier to cut.

so i tried on all 3, and the lange is the nicest finishing, but doesnt sing to me. the breguet is the most beautiful and i like it. The roles is in between. Also looked at a patek 5205, and it didnt sing to me. back to square one.

I have the Breguet and I smile every time I wear it. Lange doesn't sing to me at all.

Tell me more about the breguet- hard to find on the preowned market. To me it is the nicest one.

Well it is 39mm and sits very comfortably on my 7 in wrist. The enamel dial is exquisite and there's a very cool secret signature. The watch has a time-tested lemania movement with modern silicon parts for improved time-keeping. And the rotor on the back is hand guillochéd. It's easy to read, understated, yet super classy with deep Breguet DNA. I put mine on a deployant and it's great.

My girlfriend calls it "the charming one".

Semi biased since I own a Lange, but out of the options I’d go Lange. I can’t find the literature at the moment but when I was doing my research and I was reading about how Lange made their moon phase disc and the precision, I knew at some point I will need a Lange moon phase.

The Breguet is a beautiful watch.

Something to think about!

(With a cast of Rodan's the thinker)
When the second wheel is moving, the watch is very easy to read.

Look into how Lange makes their moonphase discs. As for the Breguet, I know their hands are heat blued but I'm not positive about their moonphase discs, however they are freehand engraved. The Rolex moonphase disc is enameled with the meteorite added after, which is hardly a mass-produced, machine method. UJ makes great watches but Lange is not Baume & Mercier and Breguet is not Tissot.

Breguet- beauty, class, and whimsy.

ALS by a mile.

The Breguet is nice too, but not quite there.

The Rolex does not even belong in this trio, not a true moonphase, a hidden movement that is most likely machine finished like the sport models, not in the same league as the other two.

I'm a Breguet fan but I have to give it to the Lange for the moonphase complication.

Not a Cellini fan so in this case I would go with the AL&S or Breguet.
