5270p thoughts?

Hi all,

I am fairly keen on this watch and think it looks amazing. Looking to add it to my collection.

What is feedback from owners?

I don't see watches as investments, but I'd rather not have a watch tank completely. There seems to be a bit of volatility with this one, on the grey market it can be had significantly cheaper than the AD, I guess the AD route would only be good in a bundle scenario. What are they actually worth at the moment given the economic climate?

Cheers!

Myself is not a fan of pink dial watches

My thoughts, I love it! Have considered trading most of my collection for one, but not ready to do that. Give it 19 years, and I may well do.

I wouldn’t worry about the value tanking, people lose more on cars every day without blinking.

If you are on a journey and likely to change your mind and move it on in a couple of years, then slur retention matters. But this surely isn’t one of those kind of watches. This is a destination watch, not a waypoint!

It's a really nice piece but the color doesn't work with my skin tone so I passed on it...I wish it came with a black dial like my 5970p

To me the dial is off balance and the color is sort of matte pink and not very attractive. I wish Patek offered different dial options on the P model. Black would be nice as suggested.

Masterpiece. What's not to love about the 5270P? Especially if you don't see watches as investment and can live with some depreciation, it is imho a solid choice. It will lose value but will also continue to be an asset in the long run (much better than other fun stuff, like cars).

No regrets on this one. If you like the watch get it. I’ve traded and sold 3 pieces for it.

That’s a nice wrapper! Do you keep your watches in wrappers? Any harm from the plastic or chemicals leeching from the wrapper to the watch over time? May look into it if it preserves the watch better when inside the safe.

Of course the watch is also nice! Haha...

The 5270P looks better in person. I love it.

Typically keep them in plastic till they go on the wrist :)

No harm from the plastic though, this one was in one for about 4 months.

LOL TRF. Classic enablers. I haven't got it yet, the Congrats starting coming in.

Now I HAVE to get it. Few good deals available, bit hard as I can't travel currently, soon as borders are open, I'll be out. Lol.
