What bezel is this?

What bezel is this on my 3,683,xxx 1680, what year would it be, could it have been replaced in1996 when the watch was serviced by Rolex

Hard to tell from the pics - but the bezel insert looks 80s to me.

What I am referring to are the numbers 40 & 50 are they the correct font therefore bezel for a 3,685,xxx red sub1973 vintage.

Yes, that's the bezel insert - and yes (from the (better) photos) it appears to be one of the 'correct' inserts for a 3.6million Submariner (that isn't necessarily from 1973.)

And correct in terms of the insert. There are different bezels too, but that’s a different and less important discussion IMO.
