Ads are "extremely cruel"? Selling you what you can't have? Sure you can - be nicer to your wife, spend time with your kids, maybe actually teach your son or daughter how to drive a boat. My father did. Stop blaming advertising or your miserable life. (Not you, OP. I'm addressing the author.)

Thanks for sharing. I think Patek's ads are too cheesy most of the time.

In general watch ads are extremely boring and there is no a little sign of innovation in that segment.
Brand ambassador - check Watch at bottom - check Romantic and motivation copy - check |

Huh? So, we should be shown parenting advertisements instead of PP ads?
Wow, never knew PP did $1B in revs. Guess that's only 5k grand complications at $200K each globally.

Good to know
That the author has absolutely no clue about advertising and consumers. Feels like it could have come equally com Fox News or The Onion.

For the most part, you're right. And then I saw this ad on TV. One of my favorite advertisements of anything really:
http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ctj-RDbTBMU I know omega doesnt really compare to a Patek in the slightest, but the ad is incredible. Enjoy! |

The author of the article clearly shows his socio-political leanings by his many ad hominem attacks throughout the piece. The author is making a lot assumptions that show their true agenda. I find it amazing that a site that appears to be based on philosophy, and therefore logic I presume, would print such a sophomoric piece that can't even stand up against a basic critical argumentation rebuttal. Egad....anything can be printed Chuck |
