A vote here for the 5296G, for the very reason you are considering it: nice balance of sport and dress. I look at the Lange and I am distracted by the orientation of the dials. One provides the useless wind indicator (if I'm not wearing it daily I wind it), the other a sub-seconds that tell you the watch is running if you study it (easier and quicker to read a sweep hand).
And I see no "sport" in the Lange.

Admittedly I am not a fan of high-end watch brands that were reborn from their pedestrian history.

Just my unpopular 0.02.

Similar argument for Patek

Considering the company had to be bought out by some dial manufacturers in 1932 that might also be described as a bit of a come down.

I really like that Patek's dial but I personally am more into the rose gold version, in this case I think I'd go with the 1815.
