Need advice PP for a 6" wrist
Hello everyone,
It's been about 3 months since my first "serious" watch purchase. A 114060 SubND! A great watch I might add. I thought it would be my first and last watch purchase for at least 5-10 years..But this isn't the case at all. I caught the bug and now want a PP. A PP Aquanaut is on my radar! The only issue I have is sizing. I have a 6" wrist and need some advice. Should I hunt for a 5165? Or does 5167 fit fine for those with chicken wrists? Does 2mm make that much of a difference? Where are all the small wristers photos? Appreciate any advice. Many thanks! 😄 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

5167 will be perfect on your wrist. Or try the classic calatrava 5196, 5123 or 5119 ...etc

if your wearing a sub now ,, a pp will be no problem in either size. infact ,, try and think hard ,, may seem small after a sub ,, just from the pics , never been lucky enough to own an aqua ,, well , not yet.
look forwards to the pics though. there was a recent thread full of handy pics too. |

I believe this user has a 6" wrist and purchased a 5711 Nautilus: http://rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=333877 I thought it looked good in the pictures.

I have a about a 6.2" wrist and felt the 5167 didn't sit that well, but it really depends on the shape of your wrist. I find that rubber, unlike a metal band, sticks out a bit horizontally. My wrist shape needs the band to go straight down the side of your wrist, so metal bands work better. I think my 5711 fits my wrist well, though perhaps not quite as well as my 14060 sub.

Awesome suggestions!
@Conkers - 3940 is a very nice piece, but I'm looking for a more "durable/sporty" PP @Dysondiver - Thanks! Nothing is set in stone yet, but i love how this forum is full of enablers. Just go for it ;) @HoosAir - Thats exactly what I was thinking with the rubber strap, but so many have said its one of the most comfortable bands out there. 5711 is gorgeous and does fit a smaller wrist very well. |

That is only the case when the tropical strap is new. After six months, it form-fits to your wrist.

Go with the 5167. Shouldn't be an issue.
Especially if the Aquanaut is what appeals to you the most. |

Thanks for advice gents. I went to a local ad to try the 5167. The 40mm size isn't the issue on my 6" wrist. It's the rubber attachment that makes the watch look larger. Does the rubber form to fit?

the strap does "break-in" and form fit a little bit more (although not majorly). However, the inside of the clasp is big and straigt, so make sure the underside of your wrist doesn't curve that much. otherwise, the clasp will force the strap to wear too loosely.

I have a 6.25 wrist and went with 5165, it is the perfect size for me, but in fairness if a 5167 popped up for sale before the 5167- I probably would've bought that and never looked back.
I don't think there is a wrong choice. |
