I agree with Oryx, I've seen models being sold in that price range at times (although nowadays it seems like prices for a vintage Patek have gone up to 6,5k to 8k). I believe the main reason for that price is that the watch is very small, 27,5mm by 36,5mm isn't for everybody (although myself would most gladly wear it...).

Now if only that low price wasn't still an issue for me...

Not a bad price on an old 1950's vintage Patek! I wonder how much the original owner paid for the watch back in the 1950's...

i have many vintage pateks

if you really like it,buy it they made good movements then very simple,just make sure when you service it to send it to a guy who does them all the time.
