I do like the PP section of TRF. It's a source of great information, frequent levity, is calmer and smells of less desperation than the Rolex side, and offers a window into a different world--like buying RM pieces. Maybe that's how it works. After graduating to PP from wherever, you start to look into space, and there you find RM.

I find almost all of his pieces garish, tacky, and monstrously priced. Then again, I'm not the demographic. Then again, I'm not sure who is? Kim Kardashian? Nadal? F1 drivers?

Interesting universe you guys and gals inhabit.

No green. I am leaning towards 30ti or 30gold. Not sure how it fits on my wrist, might be too big.

I left all the Patek madness behind and got taken care of beyond well at RM NYC, actually almost a year ago come to think of it...they got me what's now my favorite modern watch I have, bar none. Definitely not everyone's flavor, but it's become mine...the 67-02 Ogier

I read the thread as ‘How many of your PP friends have an MR’.

Now I’ve read it properly...

oof, what a great watch. looks great on you!! went to the store in nyc last year to browse and was treated very well, even got to try an incredible limited edition and made me really want to get one out of my price range (especially the 700k one i tried) but maybe one day!

The guys there are really awesome. Donald is my guy there and he's aces in so many ways, and super super cool to boot. He's the reason I got into RM and its been a great time ever since. Their events are insanely cool too...it's amazing who you get to meet at them haha. Patek never did anything like that for me, or Rolex obv...granted AP is really good with that too...

Very nice bro. Agree this watch is leaps and bounds... I’m a bit of a snob and so appreciate the exclusivity as well.

I only fancy the RM11 and RM055 but the pricing is hard to stomach. Also probably takes too much effort to buy retail.

Although i own a VC and not a PP I used to think RM were just cartoonish but they do grow on you. Definitely an aquired taste, kind of like a turbullon or timeogragh with a totally modern twist. I'm still not quite there with RMs style, maybe im a little more traditional but I've been tempted on this titanium Moinet I tried on recently. Probably half the price of RM.

Golly! I think the sales tax on that piece is more than the recently announced c.321 Ed White Speedmaster (~$15K out the door).

...and of course they should be including you in parties with the beautiful people!!

Suppose to be different. More so than every rolex derivation or nautilus derivation.

I mean
Rolex sub, gmt deepsea in steel, gold two tone with diamond with emeralds blue green etc... only to be surpassed by AP with the colorful straps

Ironically, I actually ordered one of those 321's too haha. But yeah the tax sucks and you can't really work around it anymore given the new laws unless you live in DE, Montana, Nevada or one other I forget.

they are the most ridiculously overpriced brand in the market. Divide the price by 3 or even 5 and it would be acceptable.
Just look at what you get, look at the finishing and the price

and that aside, but that is personal, I don't like that style

So Jonathan, just curious. I went to RM saloon in Geneva and Los Angeles but didn’t get serious about them. Do you have to make a full price deposit to get one from AD ? How long typically to receive the piece? Really intriguing to me.

Yes and no. The super clients deposit nothing.
Most people deposit full or half somewhere around 50-100k

Time to delivery is fuzzy but most people won’t take ur money unless they can see a delivery in the same year lol. Yes I said year. They didn’t take my deposit on my 67-02 until Oct. they were hoping to get me the watch in dec/Jan. I think we will miss the jan delivery so hoping for Feb. realistically I’d say half a year.

The real issue is them selling you the said watch. They make so few watches that it’s really easy to sell out.

They make 4000 watches, about 50 AD/Boutiques. You can estimate how many watches each store will receive a year. With 60+ different models, that’s not a lot of watches.

Now the question is how do you become a VIP !

Nice insight. And did you have to buy another RM before being able to order a 67-02?
