Gmt 16753 dial problem

Just noticed the lacquer around the indices is degrading could this be repaired?

I'm sure someone would say they could repair it, but I'm not sure the result would be preferable to the current situation. It's a risk.

It can not be repaired but you should be able to find a 16753 dial at a reasonable price.

I owned 1675 rootbeer dial like yours and it is quite unique. I will leave it as it is unless you can find the period correct dial to replace it
