Am I dreaming

Hi Guys,

I've always loved the WG oysterflex Daytona 116519LN.

I have a BLNR and a V series Seadweller 16600 both completely stickered and complete. Would I be mad to trade those 2 watches for the Daytona or am I dreaming.

Neither of the watches I suggest for the trade are keepers to me.

Happy to hear your opinions.

Wishing you all a great festive season.

If neither are keepers, you’re not going to wear either one of them, and the Daytona will make you happy and you actually will wear that one… Then yes., I would do the trade

If they are not keepers, trade them for what you want.

Just out of curiosity, did you never wear them, or wore them with stickers on?

Just wonder how come they both still have the stickers on.

I always think of trading as ‘trading up’ - if it’s not clear that you are trading up for something you want more (and needs thinking through) then I wouldn’t do it... lived that regret too many times

Everyone’s different though, do what makes you (the most) happy!

At todays prices I think you would need to add some money on top of both.

The WG oysterflex Daytona 116519LN is one of the best looking and most popular and these are selling for very high prices atm.

Buy what you want. Don't keep what you don't want.

If you haven't taken the stickers off by now, it's obviously not a keeper. Unless you are keeping it to admire the stickers!

Are you doing this for an investment since you own those and have never worn them I find that weird that you would have bought them because you like them and then the day you bought them decided I don’t like these and want to wear them?

Sounds like you are an investor not a wearer so in that case I would not make that trade.

See where you are on a trade and then decide if it is worth it to you. I would believe you would need to put some cash with your watches but that is ok as long as you get the watch you want and will wear.

Trading 2 watches you don’t even wear for one that you do seems like an easy decision.
You will get some premium for having essentially NOS watches, but neither will appreciate into the stratosphere.

I’ve owned a 16600 (which i liked a lot) and a BLNR (which I didn’t gel with).

I don’t own either anymore. But i do have a 116519LN and it’s a keeper.

If so it. None are keepers, you haven’t worn them, and 519LN is one of the best looking watches period.

If I was in your shoes I would do the trade. I personally find the Daytona too small and not legible at a glance but it doesn't seem to be your case so go for it, it's a beautiful piece, perhaps the best looking Daytona.
